Single family residence on a sub-divided site in the suburbs of Clonmel.  The project was designed to provide for a new home in the grounds of an existing family house.  With a site sloping from North to South, a key design decision was to orientate the house across the site, maximising the views to the South whilst also optimising the use of natural light thoughout the day.

A covered entrance way leads to the Ground Floor accommodation comprising an open plan Kitchen, Dining, Living area with separate Living Room and Playroom.  At First Floor, a Master Suite is positioned to maximise the available views and this floor also accommodates two other Bedrooms and family Bathroom.  A separate Garage is a key element of the composition of the house on the site and provides screening and privacy from the adjoining family home. The L shaped plan of the home creates a sheltered external space overlooking the South facing garden.

Materials include white painted render, stone cladding and timber cladding to the rear projecting bay.
