A public housing development at Pound Street, Templetuohy for Tipperary County Council. The development consists of 10 houses, a mix of terraced and semi- detached two - storey houses in 2 and 3 bedroom units. The housing units have been integrated into the existing streetscape of this rural town, whilst simultaneously providing pockets of quality amenity area for residents. The design and layout takes orientation, existing massing and forms into account to give a strong visual presence which adds to the character of the existing streetscape. A very limited palette of external finishes is used to reinforce the form of the houses with steeply pitched roofs and minimalist detailing to echo traditional housing forms.
